1) Relay team of 6 athletes, consisting of 3 mountain bikers and 3 runners

2) Solo athlete (Solo category limited to 100 athletes only)

3) Duo team of 2 athletes

DISCIPLINES AND HAND-OVER POINTS
Leg 1: Wellington to Malan Station/Malanstasie (run – approx. 7km)
Leg 2: Malan Station/Malanstasie to Hermon Station (MTB – approx. 22km)
Leg 3: Hermon Station to Gouda Station (MTB – approx. 20km)
Leg 4: Gouda Station to Tulbagh Road Station (run – approx. 8km)
Leg 5: Tulbagh Road Station to Winterberg Mountain Inn (MTB – approx. 24km)
Leg 6: Winterberg Mountain inn to Ceres Golf Club (run – approx. 9km) – we recommend that this runner wears a headlamp; the leg also includes a river crossing

LOGISTICS

Team members’ transport to the handover points is the team’s own responsibility.

On-route seconding by support teams will not be allowed. Any team found to transgress this rule will promptly be disqualified/expelled from the route. Supporters to follow R44 and utilize hand-over points to support their respective teams or solo athletes.

Solo athletes to have one support vehicle to transport the athlete’s mountain bike to Malanstasie and Tulbaghweg.

Cut-offs will be enforced on the route to ensure participants’ safety.

ENTRY FEE  

Relay teams: R385 per person – R2 310 per team (includes goody bag and medal for each team member)

Solo: R1 050 (includes goody bag, medal, and special event memorabilia)

Duo: R750 per person (includes goody bag, medal, and special event memorabilia for each team member)

Entertainment area will include live music, food, and drink stalls and supervised kiddies zone.
