Plett, set in the perennial Garden Route of South Africa, has long been known as one of the ‘founding MTB fathers’ of MTB Trail riding.
Single track, jeep track, farm roads and forest canopies.... when it comes to grinding gears, Plett is certainly the place to do it
Our races striveS to always be TNT styled riding (Trail NOT Tar) to give you, the rider, the FULL value to embrace what the forests have to offer.
The iconic Knysna-2-Plett (ALL off-road) ride has ALWAYS been at the top of every MTB’ers wish list….now we’ve made it a TNT reality….with THREE incredible distance options, so that every MTB’er, visitor and local alike, can tick this bucket list ride off.
Starting from Kruisfontein just outside Knysna, the three MTB journeys head back towards our home base at Cairnbrogie, traversing and criss-crossing both MTO and Sanparks sections of the forest and the choicest elements of the Red and Green Routes of the Harkerville Forest.
Distance options: 15km with approx. 100m climbing
36km with approx. 620m climbing
61km with approx. 1080m climbing
Plett MTB Festival will now host a trial run on the evening on 18 December 2020. There will be two trial running distance options, 15km and 6km! The trial run will take place at Cairnbrogie, running on their farm, through the singletracks.
A skills clinic will be held on Friday afternoon for all Lighty Boys and Girls (U12) at Cairnbrogie from 14H00. This Skills clinic is free to all Lighty Boys and Girls who are entered for the 15km MTB.

- Saturday 8H00: 61 km K-2-P start at Kruisfontein.
- Saturday 08H10 36km K-2-P start at Kruisfontein.
- Saturday 10H00 15km start at Cairnbrogie.
