Fine Breede MTB
Sat 4 Apr 2020 @ Ceres, Western Cape

Organiser
Breërivier Primary School

It is time for 15th Fine Breede MTB. This event caters for the whole family and we strive to make the day as fun as possible: offering Food Stalls, Potjiekos with Music and a Cash Bar.

Our quirky prize for the winners of the 60km MTB is their weight in wine! The route, unless used by the Cape Epic, is only open once a year and takes participants over rugged mountains, through green vineyards and crossing rivers.

The 30km MTB is known as the toughest on the PPA calendar in its category, so novice riders should rather stick to the 18km. A 5km fun ride is available for young, enthusiastic and future riders.

Starting times and cost:

60km | 07:30 R 230

30km | 08:00 R 200

18km | 08:30 R 150

5km | 09:00 R 60

The beneficiary of the FINE Breede MTB is our local Primary School, Breërivier Primary School. The school has approximately 60 learners between Grade 1 and Grade 7. As most schools, they are dependent on fundraising to continue the very high standard of teaching offered to learners, and the Fine Breede MTB is one of only 2 major fundraising events they have. Teachers and parents make up 95% of the workforce at the event, responsible for the layout and marking of the route, registration, marshaling, manning the food stalls and water points. We rely greatly on the support of our sponsors and entries. Thank you to all riders for your continuous support. Because of you, we are able to host such a high-quality event and raise funds at the same time.
