Tygerberg High School
2020 has been an absolutely mind-blowing year. Schools have hard hit by this pandemic and fundraising has become virtually impossible.
Tygerberg Land Service of Tygerberg High School hosts many functions and outreaches during the year where in support of the community. One of them is Huis Martina (old age home) where we have a Christmas party every year. This year we will most probably not be able to host the party, but we still want to give them a special Christmas parcel. We also assist the Dogs Deserve Better Rehabilitation Centre and grow vegetables in our food garden for families in need at our school.
Tygerberg Land Service will host a Virtual Walk/Run/Ride to raise money for the rest of the year’s activities.
This event is open to anyone who like to walk/run/ride.
CHOOSE YOUR DISTANCE (or do all of them)
Walk/run/ride a distance once-off and track it on Strava.
Walk, run or ride in your own time, any time of day and even walk with your dog. (Please adhere to the lockdown rules). Young children should be accompanied by a parent.
The chosen distance should be done in one go.
You can also decide to do it all in the three weeks.
As long as you record it on the STRAVA app.
How to enter:
1.Go to the Strava website https://www.strava.com/mobile and follow the steps to download the app.
2.Create your account on Strava
3.Enter with www.entryninja.co.za
4.Link Entry Ninja to Strava when entering. (Remember for families you will have to log in to each member's profile/switch accounts to link with Strava)
5.Go out, go walk/run/ride while recording on Strava
6.Upload your distance again to Entry Ninja when finished.
Enter via Entry Ninja www.entryninja.com – R50 entry fee (per distance)

Every entrant will receive a silicone bracelet with "#lockdown2020 do something great" written on it.
Your willingness to make an added donation or buy merchandise will be greatly appreciated.
We have lovely soft Dri-Fit T-shirts @ R110 each to remember an era hopefully never to be repeated. #lockdown2020 (see the merchandise categories)
Please note: At the merchandise section you'll have an option to choose postage or pick-up at school (a lead time of 4 weeks to be expected after the event closes)

Lucky draws will be added during the month so join the event and don’t miss out. Check out the Event Page on the Tygerberg High School Facebook page to stay up to date with this event. Currently we have vouchers from Krispy Kreme at the Fairfield Motors Engen Garage, Magic Manor Dinner & Movie Night tickets and a Back Massage at a beauty salon.
SCHOOL: If you are a member of Tygerberg Land Service you will receive added points for your participation, as well as for friends, family members or pets that joins you.
WE CHALLENGE ALL OF SA’s LAND SERVICE CLUB MEMBERS TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT.
Every participant will receive a certificate of participation that will be sent to you via e-mail. NB: Please make sure that we have your correct e-mail address captured on Entry Ninja.
Your memorabilia and merchandise can be picked up at school when ready or you can ask us to courier/post it to you by choosing the option when entering.
