St Francis Sport
The 14th annual St Francis Sport Summer Series consists of 11 events between 16 and 31 December 2020 in the greater St Francis area. Enter for the series for only R400, and you will get individual access to all the events, a permanent number so you only have to pitch in time for race briefing, plus the first 300 participants who enters before 5 December will get a unique Summer Series race buff.
Take note:
- there will be no prize giving, but full results will be announced live on social media and posted a few hours after the event;
- two amazing prizes are up for grabs once again for the male and female who did the best in the most events;
Team events:
It is possible to add team members to your entry. If you are getting team mates at the last minute, make sure all team members are entered for the event. Each person will receive an individual number. Team members must WhatsApp their individual numbers with team name to Esti on 073 825 0835 before 07h00 on race day. Or, bring the names to the registration table written on a piece of paper, and team name.
Race numbers can be collected from Custom Bikes from 10 December, or before the race from the registration table.

Date: Wednesday, 16 December 2020. Time: 08:00. Distances: 5km or 10km. Venue: Cape St Francis Resort, Da Gama Road, Cape St Francis
Blue Abyss Breathe Swim & Run Duathlon
Date: Thursday 17 December 2020. Time: 08:00. Distances: 500m swim & 3km run or 1km swim and 6km run – teams or individuals. Venue: Quaysyde, Sea Glades Drive, St Francis Bay
Bruce’s Ocean Triathlon
Date: Friday 18 December 2020 (Reserve dates 19 & 20 December). Time: 08:00. Distances: 500m ocean swim/20km MTB/5km trail run – teams or individuals. Venue: Granny’s Pool, St Francis Bay.
Village Square Superspar Extreme Duathlon (Trail Run & MTB)
Date: Monday 21 December 2020. Time: 08:00. Distances: 5km run & 15km MTB or 10km run & 30km MTB – teams or individuals. Venue: St Francis Field (access through gate at Port St Francis side only).
Blue Abyss Breathe Canal Swim
Date: Tuesday 22 December 2020. Time: 08:00. Distances: bank2bank (under 10’s), 500m, 1km, 2km, 3km (Open only). Venue: Quaysyde, Sea Glades Drive, St Francis Bay.
TCS Sand River Trail Run and Walk
Date: Wednesday 23 December 2020. Time: 08:00. Distances: 5km, 14km, 21km. Venue: Eskom Conservation Reserve/Dune Ridge Country House, St Francis Bay. (No dogs are allowed)
Endless Summer Open Water Swim
Date: Saturday 26 December 2020 (Reserve days 28, 29, 30 December). Time: 16:00. Distance: 2,3km Start at Port St Francis, finish at Granny’s Pool, St Francis Bay. Venue: Port St Francis, Triton Ave (start), Granny’s Pool, Harbour Road (finish), St Francis Bay.
Gabriel’s Beach Run & MTB Ride
Date: Tuesday 29 December 2020. Time: 08:00. Distance: 15km. Venue: Walskipper parking area, Paradise Beach (start) - Quaysyde, St Francis Bay (finish).
Pam Golding Properties Quadrathlon
Date: Wednesday 30 December 2020. Time: 08:00. Distances: 500m swim, 12km cycle, 3km run, 3km paddle – teams or individuals. Venue: Quaysyde, Sea Glades Drive, St Francis Bay.
Chokka Trail Full Moon Run & Walk
Date: Wednesday 30 December 2020. Time: 19:30. Distance: 5km. Venue: Cape St Francis main beach entrance, Seal Point Boulevard, Cape St Francis.
(As this is a community event, registration on the day will be allowed with a donation box. Funds raised are used for regular beach clean-ups in the greater St Francis area).
Custom Construction MTB Challenge
Date: Thursday 31 December 2020. Time: 08:00. Distance: 15km or 30km. Venue: Eskom Conservation Reserve/Dune Ridge Country House, St Francis Bay.
Please note that spectators will be limited to those who second.
