THE PLAN OF ACTION

Friday

From 14h00 to 19h00

Checking in at Yolla’s and taken to your accommodation

19h00 until whenever

Dinner time with eating, drinking and “kuier” at Yolla’s with the locals. Ride briefing at 19h15.

Saturday

06h30- Breakfast

Delicious farm breakfast at Oppidam Coffee Shop.

07h30 to 15h00 – The Ride

Starting at Oppidam after breakfast, riders have the options to ride beautiful 36km (495m ascent), 58km (795m ascent) or 75km (1066m ascent) ride at your own pace and time on the district roads around the Rosendal. When you choose your distance, just remember that this is the Eastern Free State so there are no flat sections J. 

The routes will not be marked so we will e-mail GPS files to all participants prior to the weekend to load on their navigational devices or mobile phones. A great free navigational app to download for mobile phones (for those who don’t have a GPS device) is GPX Viewer. 

Some will just want to cruise and enjoy the scenery while other may want to use it as a training ride.

There will be snacks and drinks tables at dedicated points along the route.

17h00 – Sundowner Experience in the Cave

Meet at Yolla’s to get onto the transport vehicles for the ultimate sundowner experience high up in a cave on a nearby farm. Light snacks and champagne will be supplied while we watch the spectacular sunset over the valley below.

17h30 – Langtafel Three-Course Dinner

The famous LANGTAFEL three-course meal at Benjamin’s with well-known chef and storyteller, Frik de Jager. 

Everyone will spend a wonderful evening of eating, chatting and laughing.

(Bring your own alcoholic drinks for this one as no alcohol will be for sale at the venue)

Sunday

Getting up at your own time – optional ride

An optional short but pretty +-25km ride at 8:00am for those who feel like it.

Again the route will not be marked but the GPS route file will be supplied. 

11h00 – Brunch

Famous waffle brunch at Benjamin’s with both sweet and savoury options to choose from. It does not matter which waffle you choose; it will blow your mind. 

AND NOW FOR THE BEST PART… 

All this for only R2550 per person sharing and we will even throw a cool t-shirt into the mix of things.

So yes, it includes the two nights of luxury accommodation and all these awesome meals and experiences plus a t-shirt. 

Please remember that this is NOT an event but a fun and social cycling weekend to celebrate the good stuff. 

Please note that you are welcome to bring a non-riding partner with who can share in all your fun for R2400 per person sharing.

The maximum group size for a weekend (including non-riders) will be 25 people.
