Start/Finish venue 16km: Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve Gate, Franschhoek.

Distances: 26km with 1900m elevation gain or 16km with 1300m elevation gain.

Starting time: 26km at 7:30 am and the 16km at 8:00 am

Route information 26km: Start at Church, up Kat se Pad into Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve, up to Perde Kop then Du Toits Peak (there will be a “short course” option coming down “Uitkyk” as well) and back down to Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve gate, down Kat se Pad and finish at the Church. From there, we will all go to the Church Market for our Burger and Beer.

Route information 16km: Start at Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve gate, up to Perde Kop then Du Toits Peak and back down to Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve gate. There will be a “short course” option coming down “Uitkyk” as well. From there, we will all go back to the Church Market for our Burger and Beer.

Fee – R400 includes: Guided recce run by Christiaan Greyling, Grobler Basson, and Gabriel Kriel. You will also be joined by our 2021 Ambassadors Rachel Kolisi, Vanessa Haywood-Sandes, and Micaela Clifford. Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve fee and a burger and beer all included. (Veggie option available on entering)

Fitness Level Required: Moderate. Should be able to run either 26km or 16km at a moderate pace. It will not be a sprint. This will be a guided recce run with elite athletes giving tips on the route, training, and much more.
