Distances: 24km with 462m elevation gain or 18km with 365m elevation gain.
Starting time: 24km at 7:30 am and 18km at 7:45 am.
Route information 24km and 18km: Start at Berg River Valley gate, Franschhoek Trail Parking, -33.935132 19.083035 from there we will go into the back of the Berg River Valley. This first section is beautiful but rockery, so keep your eyes on the trail. From there we will cross the Berg River and traverse the other side of the mountain to the back of the dam. The 18km group will go back over the bridge in the valley and back to the gate. The 24km will go back in the kloof behind the dam and come back to the bridge on the single track next to the dam. Be ready for about 7 stream crossings and 3 beautiful waterfalls. From there, we will all go to Hey Joe Brewery for our lucky draws and Burger and Beer.

Fee – R400 includes: Guided recce run by Christiaan Greyling and Gabriel Kriel. GU energy drinks, gels, and water will be supplied. You will also be joined by a few of our 2021 Ambassadors. Franschhoek Wine Valley fee and a burger and beer all included. (Veggie option available on entering)

Fitness Level Required: Moderate. Should be able to run either 24km or 18km at a moderate pace. It will not be a race. This will be a guided recce run with elite athletes giving tips on the route, training, and much more. This is a social, and fun recce run.
