The Montessori XCO Challenge 2021 will be a MTB XCO event that will be a hybrid of two existing XCO series events, namely the Spur Schools MTB League and the Eden XCO Series. It will therefore cater for both junior and senior riders and points will count towards both series on an individual and school level. The event will be hosted under level-3 Covid restrictions and therefore no spectators and only a 100 participants at a time. A more detail event program will made available closer to the time, but in short the junior races will take place in the morning and the seniors the afternoon.

Covid-19 Protocols for event
VERY LOW RISK assessment for COVID-19 exposure;
Control measures in place based on above risk assessment;
A COVID-19 Strategy for the event that will be part of the medical services medical plan;
Health screening processes for staff and workers (completing temperature & info register);
Attendees (riders & supporters) screening process (completing temperature & info register);
Hygiene stations will be available;
Social distancing based on 1.5m between people at all times;
No more than 100 attendees attending the event at one time and max batch starts of 50;
Contact tracing for all staff, workers and attendees with relevant information attained from register;
Masks - have to be worn at all times, except when actively taking part during event
