SPECIAL EDITION TINMAN - 29th August 2021 & BUCO KZN Duathlon Championships

The CMH TinMan SPECIAL EDITION event incorporating BUCO KZN Duathlon Championships takes place on the 29th August at Suncoast. This race will give athletes and awesome Olympic distance race (standard) as well as the famous Sprint distances race along the flat Tinman course.

 All Entrants will get a small Goodie Bag and Race Item included with their entry.

The event is Draft legal, no tri bars.

Events:

• Mini Triathlon (200m Swim / 5km Cycle / 2.5km Run) 8yrs upwards

• Sprint Tri (600m Swim / 22km Cycle / 5km Run) 15yrs upwards
• Sprint RELAY TEAM (600m Swim / 22km Cycle / 5km Run)

• Olympic Tri (1.5km Swim / 42km Cycle / 10km Run) 18yrs upwards
• Olympic RELAY TEAM  (1.5km Swim / 42km Cycle / 10km Run) 18yrs upwards

• Sub Youth (1.25km Run / 5km Cycle / 500m Run) 8-11yrs old
• Youth Duathlon (2.5km Run / 10km Cycle / 1.25km Run) 12yrs - 15yrs old
• Sprint Duathlon: 5km Run / 22km Cycle / 2.5km Run) 15yrs upwards
• Olympic Duathlon (10km Run / 42km Cycle / 5km Run) 18yrs upwards

REGISTRATION TIMES:

• All Mini, Sprint Races and All Duathlons: 5:40am to 6:50am 
• Olympic Tri only: 6:50am to 7:20am 
• Youth & Sub Youth Duathlon: 7:30 to 8:30am

• 7:15am Sprint Tri & Teams (Start on the beach) 
• 7:30am : Olympic Tri / Teams (Start on the beach) Start Infront of Blue Waters Hotel (Durban Ultra Start area) 
• 9:30am : Youth and Sub youth Starts

3. Sprint Relay Team (2 or 3): R650.00 (Includes Goodie Bag & Race Item) 
4. Sprint Duathlon: R350.00 (Includes Goodie Bag & Race Item)
5. Olympic Triathlon: R650.00 (Includes Goodie Bag & Race Item) 
6. Olympic Tri Relay Team (2 or 3): R750.00  (Includes Goodie Bag & Race Item) 
7. Olympic Duathlon: R450.00  (Includes Goodie Bag & Race Item)
8. Sub-Youth Duathlon: R200.00 (Includes Goodie Bag & Race Item)
9. Youth Duathlon: R250.00 (Includes Goodie Bag & Race Item)

All entries include a small goodie bag and TinMan race item in their goodie bag. There will be ice cold Finish Drinks, Finish Massages and Coffee available on the finishline. 

Entries are limited due to COVID, to 250 per Triathlon event and 250 per Duathlon events. 

R6000.00 in Prize Money will be available for the Top 3 Male and Female overall for the Olympic Triathlon Duathlon events only. 

Very Important information:

• Event is Timed by Elite Timing (Race Numbers / No Chips required) 
• Each competitor must download and print a COVID health form HERE and hand in at registration.

• This event is DRAFT LEGAL. (NO TT / TRI Bars allowed.)
• Entries limited to current restriction numbers of 250 per start batch or as per Covid regulations at the time. 
• Athletes need to sanitize and have their Tempreture checked as they enter the venue (Stations to be provided)
• Athletes need to wear a mask until they walk down to the swim start and reapply once finished.
• Athletes will be set off in a mass swim start (No Rolling Start) 
• No Spectators at the Event, start/finish, or on course
• R6000.00 Prize money for the Olympic Tri and Duathlon only. No team prizes. 
• Relay Team entries are allowed
• Staff and officials will be kept to a minimum to comply with regulations.
• Water tables will be self-service (32Gi Sachets and water cups provided)
• All competitors will receive and ice-cold aQuella at the finish line and a finishers item.
