Rickety Bridge Winery
Spend Heritage Day, Friday 24 September 2021 at Rickety Bridge Winery. We’ll start at the day with a 5km FUNdation RUN in between the vineyards with a few wine stops on the way. Once you have finished the 5km fun run, sit back, relax and order a breakfast for champions from our braai-inspired menu. Think boerie rolls, hamburgers, ribs and more. At 10h30 we’ll start with a lucky draw on the Wine Tasting Centre lawn, that includes the following incredible prizes:
- 2 nights stay at Rickety Bridge Manor House for two people, including breakfast and a wine tasting
- Wine Blending Experience at the Wine Tasting Centre for two people
- 2 Icon Range Tastings at the Wine Tasting Centre
- FUNdation Stone Hamper
- Tutored winemakers tasting for up to 8 people
- R500 Paulina’s Restaurant voucher
The cost is R100 per runner, your ticket includes 4 or more wine tastings (MCC, Foundation Stone White, Foundation Stone Rosé, Foundation Stone Red and Rickety Bridge Pinotage). Kiddies are more than welcome to enter as well and we'll spoil them with a complimentary kiddies pairing at the Wine Tasting Centre after the race. The kiddies pairing includes peach ice tea, Crème Soda, strawberry flavoured milk, a marshmallow puff, sour worms and wine gums (all to the value of R80).
The braai-inspired menu (see menu below) will be on offer until 17h00, so bring along the family and spend the day at Rickety Bridge. 10% of the proceeds will go towards the mass vaccination drive in Franschhoek. There are limited entries available and all Covid protocols will be in place.
