UPDATE 19 JANUARY 2022: Please note that we have reached capacity for branded bubbly flutes and race numbers. However, the good news is that you can still enter with the following changes:
- You will still be timed and receive a generic Mobii race number
- You will not receive a branded bubbly glass to take home... BUT you will still receive your well earned glass of bubbly at the finish
- You will receive a medal, which will be your bragging rights in lieu of the branded glass
- The whole experience remains exactly the same... it's going to be awesome!!
Online entries close on Thursday 20 January 2022, late entries will be available at on Friday 21 January at number collection, and for the 6km and 12km ONLY on Saturday morning at the venue from 06h00. Late entries will have a R20 late entry fee.
The Plaisir Trail Run is a NEW event on the trail running calendar and promises to be a day filled with spectacular trails, Plaisir Market treats, delicious wine & gin and fun for the whole family! Come and experience the awesome newly built trails that Plaisir has to offer and the magnificent views that go with them!
There are distances for the whole family to enjoy the trails; and live music, delicious treats and award winning wines at the popular Plaisir Market to relax afterwards!
Those who are looking for a challenge are encouraged to enter the GRAND PLAISIR... a 21km route that starts at Bartinney Private Cellar and ends at Plaisir! This route is special, unique and a must do for all keen trail runners!
EVENT DISTANCES, ENTRY FEE AND START TIMES:
Bon Plaisir: 6km | R120 | 08h00
Petit Plaisir: 12km | R280 | 07h30
Grand Plaisir: 21km | R380 | 06h30 **Start at Bartinney Wine Farm, end at Plaisir. Shuttle from Plaisir to Bartinney is available at an additional R50. PLEASE NOTE: there is NO parking available at the start at Bartinney Wine Estate. If you are not being dropped off at the start you will need to buy a shuttle ticket from Plaisir Wine Estate**

SATURDAY 22 JANUARY:
Bartinney Wine Estate: from 05h30 (21km ONLY)
Plaisir Wine Estate: from 06h00 (12km and 6km)

ROUTE MAPS AND PROFILES:
21km: +- 1000m total elevation
Waterpoints: 2: at 8.5km and 16km. Please note there is water available from streams on the mountain. All this water is safe to drink. It is your responsibility to ensure you carry sufficient water, particularly considering the hot weather predicted.
12km: +-400m total elevation
Waterpoints: 2: at 7km and 9.3km. Please note you will cross a number of streams: all this water is safe to drink! It is your responsibility to ensure you carry sufficient water, particularly considering the hot weather predicted.
6km: +-120m total elevation
Waterpoints: 1: at 3.5km. Please note you will cross a number of streams: all this water is safe to drink! It is your responsibility to ensure you carry sufficient water, particularly considering the hot weather predicted.
Exciting news for trail runners looking to enter both the Plaisir Trail Run on 22 January 2022 and the Bartinney2Bartinney on 13 November 2021: all runners entering both will receive a bottle of award winning Plaisir Merlot, valued at R220!
