Join us for the inaugural Quaggas Fitness Festival Triathlon hosted at the Quaggaskloof Waterski Club situated in the Breede River valley (near Worcester).
The off-road adventure sprint triathlon course is designed to be a fun adventure. It starts with a 750 meter open water swim in the famous Kwaggaskloof Dam. The bike course follows a gravel road to the award winning Cilmor Winery at the foot of the Dewetsberg mountain, dive under the tar road via a cement culvert and then hit the fast rolling gravel roads on the expansive 430ha Cilmor farm through vineyards, green fields, around dams, always with the amazing mountains in the background. Come back via the cement culvert under the tar road and join up with the 2-way traffic back to the dam. The run is flat and turns around on the dam wall with a well deserved paved finish.
This offroad triathlon was the brain child of Guinness World Record swimmer Britt Hyland of K8 and the outdoor enthusiasts at Dragonfly Tri. This event would not be possible without the amazing support and enthusiasm of the local farming community and in particular Quaggaskloof Waterski Club and Cilmor Winery.
Quaggaskloof Waterski Club is less than a 90 minutes scenic drive from Cape Town. There is accommodation available in the form of privately owned homes or camping to suit every appetite.
Off-road adventure sprint triathlon distances:
SWIM: 750m dam swim (water safety by Big Bay Events)
BIKE: ±20km mountain bike
RUN: 5km trail run

from 6:30m at the Dragonfly Tri gazebo

Teams may consist of 2 or max 3 people.
Minimum age for this event is 13 years of age
Prize Giving
Prizes to all podium finishers (Solo mens, Solo ladies and Teams mixed)
Lucky draw prizes at prize giving. You have to be present to win it.
This event supports team entries for certain classes. Team sizes range from 2 - 3 participants per team.
