KZN Schools Cycling MTB Lap Racing Series 2025 

Please note this event is a fun event. Riders will do either as many laps as they can within a set time, or a maximum number of laps dependent on their age category. Lap distances are approx. 2km – 4km long and will vary from venue to venue.

Race day schedule and start times will be shared to riders before the event and communicated on the day.

All riders are to wear their school cycling shirt or PE shirt to race.
*NO HELMET NO RIDE* rule applies and will be strictly enforced.

Riders will ride in their school grouping (Junior/Senior or High School) and there will be designated age categories within the school groupings.

Categories:

Sub Nippers – Born in 2019 / 2018 / 2017 

Nippers – Born in 2016 / 2015

Sprog – Born   2014 / 2013

Sub Junior – Born 2012 / 2011

Youth – Born 2010 / 2009

Junior – Born 2008 / 2007/ 2006

Races cancelled due to bad weather will not be refunded.

Events will be run under School Cycling SA’s rules.

No show, no refunds

Refunds will be at organisers discretion.

Cost per event:

Primary School events R160 (per event)

High School events R210 (per event)

Entry for all 4 (at last years prices):

Primary School = R600
High School = R800

PRE-ENTRIES CLOSE on Wednesday before the event. Late entries will be available on the day but will incur an additional admin fee of R50. 

Entry for all 4 closes on the Wednesday before the first event.

~ 8am - 11.00 Primary Schools Racing

10am Registration for HIGH SCHOOLS

11.30 track practice HIGH SCHOOLS ONLY

~ 12noon - 3pm High Schools Racing
