Welcome to The 2025 Cradle Mountain Trophy
The most popular and prestigious Mountain Bike and Trail Run / Walk in Gauteng – The Cradle Mountain Trophy.
Founded in 2010, this Mountain Biking and Trail Running/ Walking event always promises to be an exhilarating experience, and it takes place on Saturday the 11th of October 2025.
And it’s now part of The Glorious Gravel Series.
And we have changed things up a bit and all routes will now be Gravel Routes.
100km, 55km and 40km will be on offer.
Plus, we also have a stunning offering of various Trail Running/ Walking options from 5km, 10km & 15km.
This will take place on Saturday the 11th of October.
These are absolutely stunning routes. Do not miss out on this.
This is without a doubt the most popular, engaging and spectacular and fun event in and around Gauteng.
Special Announcement: All children aged 7 and under can enter on the day at no cost for the 5km Trail Run
We are back at The Valley Lodge & Spa, situated in the heart of Magaliesburg.

Wednesday the 8th of October from 12.30 to 17.00 – Venue: JoziGin, Bryanston, cnr Post House & Main
Alternatively, if you can’t make it on Wednesday, Saturday the 11th at Valley Lodge from 06:00 to 06:30.
Late Entries
You will be able to grab a late entry at Race Number pickup on Wednesday at JoziGin in Bryanston from 12.30 to 17.00. Alternatively on the morning. But race numbers are limited. Please bring cash as we do not have credit card facilities.

06:45 Cradle Mountain Trophy – 100km – Seeding will be voluntary
07:00 Cradle Mountain Trophy – 55km riders
07:15 Cradle Mountain Adventure – 40km
07:30 Trail Run – 15km
07:45 Trail Run – 5km, 10km
THE ROUTE AND MARKINGS
PLEASE NOTE: The 100km & 55km Gravel/ MTB will be GPS marking
Gravel/ MTB routes will also be clearly marked with Green Arrows on a white A4 Perspex board, and the route will also have pink stickers showing you the way.
Trail Runners will follow GREEN STICKERS
