Back for the 16th year in a row, we welcome you to the biggest and most popular stage race in Gauteng, The Luxliner Route 66 Experience.

It's taking place at the beautiful 5-Star Mount Grace Hotel & Spa, set in the beautiful and  majestic setting of the Magaliesburg Mountains.

Perfect training for the Absa Cape Epic and perfect “Altitude Training”.

And don’t forget about how good this event will be for your legs if you are training for our very own Investec Great Kei Trek.

This year, we are changing things up an bit, and our focus is on Gravel.

It’s now a 2-day, Gravel/ MTB Stage Race in Gauteng.

It’s tough, it’s fun, and incredibly rewarding, and it’s back in 2026.

But two days is not all that is on offer. 

Also on offer in Gravel/ MTB Formats on Sunday the 1st of March includes an 80km, 60km or 45km. 

If you can’t join the full weekend, Sunday’s single-day rides are your chance to experience the best of the Route 66 trails — world-class riding through the heart of the Magalies mountains, with just the right mix of challenge, scenery, and satisfaction.

Plus 15, 10 or 5km Trail Run/ Walk on Saturday the 28th of February.

The Route 66 Experience isn’t just for riders. Lace up your trail shoes and join us on Saturday for a morning on the legendary Magalies trails. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or just out for a fresh-air adventure, this one’s for you.

Choose from 5 km, 10 km, or 15 km routes that wind through rolling hills, shaded valleys, and sweeping views of the Magaliesberg.
Each route offers a balance of challenge and reward — run it hard, or walk it easy.

Tough enough to make you earn that medal.

SUNDAY LUNCH SPECIAL
Join us for a special post-race buffet lunch for R275 per person, R175 per child under 12 years on Sunday afternoon 1 March at the Cog & Sprocket. Friends, partners, significant others and children are welcome to join. You can purchase your lunch tickets when you enter online.
