EVENT POSTPONED TO 28 November 2026
The current Foot and Mouth pandemic has reached our Eden/Garden Route with the first confirmed case identified in Mossel Bay. The farmers and farming committees are currently busy with planning and implementing measures to limit and prevent the spread of the disease. One of the most important measures is to restrict the movement of all non-essential vehicles (which include bicycles) within farming areas. Our host (Libertas Farm) is a dairy farm, and we unfortunately will have to postpone the event till later the year (28 November). We carry all entries over to that date, but if you rather want a refund, please send your request to [email protected] and they will then confirm with us to process it.
We apologize for this, but our farmers need our support during this time.

The 5th edition of the Bergplaas MTB and Trail Run Challenge, will take place on Saturday, 28 November 2026, at Libertas Guest Farm , Hoekwil.
We are a CSA sanctioned event and riders must therefore either have a current CSA Membership or License - if not you need to purchase a Temp Day License.

Bike Service Station / Bike Wash
Cycle Worx Sedgefield will have a bike service station, as well as bike wash after your race. All proceeds to go to a local charity. R30 per bike wash, but you can donate more if you want to. Please support their initiative!
