RUN THE VINES 2026 SERIES PRESENTED BY FIRST ASCENT
Join us on the 16th of May 2026 at D'Aria Winery for the 5th event of the Run The Vines 2026 Series presented by First Ascent. This will be Run The Vines 1st visit to D'Aria.
D’Aria as we know it today is one of the top Durbanville wine estates. Not only is it known for all the facilities offered on the estate, but it is also widely acclaimed for the wines produced there. The land on which D’Aria is based comprises of two wine farms, namely Doordekraal and Springfield.
The history of Springfield dates to 1698 when the governor of the Cape first granted this farmland, then known as “Hooge Bergs Vallei”, thereby making it one of the oldest and most significant farmlands in what is now known as the greater Cape Town. Centuries later, in 1998 and 1999, Barinor purchased this land and it became known as D’Aria.
D’Aria originated in 2008 with our very first crop. With its beautiful surroundings, delicious wines, and world-class facilities, we have become a recommended wine estate in a relatively brief time span.

This distance can change depending on the farm. All kids under 12 must be accompanied by a parent. The aim of the 3km is to introduce kids to trail running and a healthy lifestyle, while spending great time with family and friends. This distance is for parents with small kids and not for individual adults. Adults must do the 5km.

5km Run The Vines - R180 - Start: 8:15 (Includes timing tag. No need to rent)
10km Run The Vines - R200 - Start: 8:00 (Includes timing tag. No need to rent)
17km Run The Vines - R230 - Start: 7:30 (Includes timing tag. No need to rent)
Because we are running on working farms the promoted distances might not be exact. It might be a little longer or shorter. I will do my best to have it as close to the promoted distance as possible.

Timing is done by BoutTime. You must collect your timing tag at registration. Registration is always open one-hour before the start of the 17km distance. You can buy a permanent tag for R100 that can be used at all events timed with BoutTime. Live results and sms with your results and time included.
R50 Late entry fee.
All unpaid entries will be removed after 3 days.
Waterpoints will be available. It is however always advised to be self-sufficient when it comes to hydration when you run.
Hydration will be available at the waterpoints. Sorry. No food or sweeties. We want you to support the farm and vendors after your run.
Medals for all finishers.
Please do not leave any valuables in your car. You can leave it at registration.
