The Koranna Mountain Adventure Race is a multi-discipline, time-based expedition race for teams of two.

Starting on Friday, 01 May 2026, and concluding by Sunday, 03 May 2026 at 12:00, teams will navigate through remote terrain using only map and compass.

Race Format

• Teams of two athletes
• Teams must stay together at all times
• Teams must finish together
• 34-hour cutoff
• Map and compass navigation, GPS also allowed
• Strategy, pacing, and route choice are essential

• Trekking through mountain terrain and technical trails
• Off-road cycling on farm roads and single-track
• Kayaking
• Abseiling
• Ziplining
• Technical navigation sections

🚵 Koranna MTB Stage Race

Two-Day Self-Supported Stage Race | Starts Friday / Saturday

The Koranna MTB Stage Race is a two-day, self-navigational, self-sufficient mountain biking expedition for experienced riders.

With a total distance of approximately ±160 km, this race follows remote routes through mountains, valleys, and private farmland.

Race Format

📍 Stage 1

• Start: Koranna Getaway
• Finish: Merri Metsi Farm
• Distance: ±100 km

Riders must book their own accommodation at Merri Metsi Farm for the overnight stay.

📍 Stage 2

• Start: Merri Metsi Farm
• Finish: Koranna Getaway
• Distance: ±60 km

Stage 2 returns riders to Koranna Getaway for a shared finish with the Adventure Race teams.

🧭 Navigation & Self-Sufficiency

Both events are true expedition-style races:

✅GPS devices allowed
✅ Map and compass

All Participants Must Be:

✔️ Fully self-sufficient between checkpoints
✔️ Responsible for their own equipment and repairs
✔️ Prepared for remote conditions
✔️ Comfortable with long-distance navigation

MTB Transition Boxes

MTB riders must provide their own transition box at Merri Metsi Farm containing overnight gear, spares, nutrition, and clothing.

On Sunday, Adventure Race teams and MTB riders will cross the finish line together — celebrating endurance, teamwork, and exploration in the heart of the Koranna Mountains.

This is not a mass-participation fun event.
 This is a true endurance expedition.
