The 2026 XCOSA Events MTB Park Rides are designed so anyone can participate - it offers vital race training for accomplished XCO athletes; and proper XCO exposure to "newbies"! Modus operandi of the 2026 XCOSA Events MTB Park Rides: Rider bookings are done online and close 12h00 on the Friday prior to the Park Ride.  A R50 booking fee is payable per rider for online bookings. Late bookings are accepted 30 minutes before the start of the Park Ride. Disposable XCOSA Event Timing System number boards are being used, issued on the day of the Park Ride. An additional R20 late booking fee per rider is payable for late bookings. All categories start at 08:00 and complete 4 consecutive lap as follows

• lap #1 = warm-up lap
• laps #2 & #3 = flat out timed laps
• lap #4 = cool down lap
• laps #2&3 are formally timed and determine the participant's position on Park Ride Log

Timing is done as follows:

• 1 – 14 participants: self-timed (no performance log)
• 15 – 19 participants: self-timed (performance tracking on performance log)
• 20+ participants: XCOSA Timing timed with number boards (performance tracking on performance log)

The Park Rides take place on safe, controlled, custom designed and built racetracks with 99% flowing single track Spectator friendly lap racing allowing continual support, no "out-of-sight-and-wait-for-return" support! We offer fun for the whole family and cater for Olympic champions as well as fun riders, from below 10 to over 60.
