Our Lesotho Adventure race follows a GPX route, taking you deep into the beautiful and majestic Lesotho mountains. Competitors will run, cycle, and run again, experiencing high-altitude adventure at its best.

🔹 Race format:

10 km run

14 km cycle

23 km run

This race is the perfect stepping stone into longer Adventure Racing events. With no navigation required, you can simply follow the GPX route and fully enjoy the experience.

To finish things off, racers will complete an abseil, adding an extra layer of adventure to an already unforgettable day.

👣 Overview:
Afriski is in northern Lesotho, accessible only by road via South Africa. The nearest big city for travel planning is Johannesburg (South Africa).

Typical drive:

  • From Johannesburg: ~4.5 – 5 hours by car (≈ 370 km to border, then into Lesotho)

  • From Durban: ~6 – 7 hours by car

🛣️ Step-by-Step Driving Directions

  1. Start on the N3 from Johannesburg toward Durban.

  2. Near Villiers, take the R26 toward Frankfort → Reitz → Bethlehem → Fouriesburg.

  3. Continue to Caledonspoort Border Post (South Africa ↔ Lesotho).

  4. After crossing into Lesotho, follow the A1 and signs toward Afriski. You’ll see markings such as “Afriski ~75 km” en route.

  5. The road climbs steeply via the Mahlasela Pass before arriving at the resort.
