This is a fun social walk starting at Dirtopia Trail Centre at Muratie Wine Estate, where you’ll be treated to a mimosa on arrival.  The total hike loop is 3km  on a steep vineyard loop where you get rewarded with a tasting of 4 of Muratie wines. Right next to where the cultivars grow!  View of Simonsberg and Table Mountain in the distance, while you walk back to the Muratie werf. Please note that you need a relative amount of fitness, as it is not a flat 'walk in the park'.

Bring good (closed) walking shoes, backpack with water, hat, snacks (if you like), jacket and of course water bottle.

Ensure you book by Friday, 27 March midday. Limited tickets and all must be done online.

  This is a relaxed event with lots of socializing and so that you can enjoy the Wineland scenery of the Stellenbosch outdoors! 

 The Trail Centre will be open early for snacks and cold drink sales. Please note that any drinks before, during or after the walk is for your own account.

VENUE: Start and finish at Dirtopia trail Centre, Muratie Wine Estate, Stellenbosch

TIME: For registration from 9am, so that we can start the walk by 9.30am and will be back by 12pm

DISTANCE: Approximately 3km in total

COST: R245 Kids U18 R100 and will receive one juice instead of wine

INCLUDES: Day permit for marked route and wine tasting between the vineyard

SCHEDULE:
9am to 9.25am: Registration. You will receive an armband that will give you access to the route and wine tastings.
9h30 Start the walk at leisurely pace.
A short briefing will take place before you follow the marked route.

10.00am: Arrival at Tasting of 4 Muratie wines. Kids will receive a juice.
11h00/11h30: start walking back – approximately 1.5km down on the hiking trails
 12h00: Arrival back at Dirtopia Trail Centre.

Dirtopia Trail Centre on Muratie sells permits to the marked trails of the Simonsberg trail network. The shop carries outdoor gear, trail accessories and snacks & cold drinks.
