XCO Course

GENERAL RACE INFO:

• All riders not in possession of a valid CSA license must purchased a day license for R70
• All riders must wear protective headgear AT ALL TIMES.
  Failure may result in disqualification and or penalty.
• All CSA rules apply. Please go to www.cyclingsa.com to update yourself. Ignorance of any rule will not be accepted as an excuse for any transgression. 
• All announcements and instructions made on Race day by the race director are binding.
• All queries regarding the results must be lodged with the time keepers within 30min after results are made available on race day.
• No race number, No result.

XCC What to expect at the event.

Cycling South Africa started the XCC series at the SA cups last year and this gave us the opportunity to introduce XCC at the provincial level as well. The XCC will be run with its own log allowing riders to compete at provincial and national level in both XCC and XCO and be able to obtain provincial colours for XCC should all other requirements be met. (Sub-Juniors and older are the only ones that can partake in the XCC)

Cross Country Short Track racing: XCC

The course should be a maximum of 2 kilometres per lap. The start and finish should be in the same area. Natural and/or artificial obstacles will only be allowed if they have been preliminary approved by the technical delegate or in his absence, the president of the commissaires' panel. Depending on the course, a maximum of 80 riders should be on it at one time.

What is XCC well it a very fast and short race that gets your heart racing.

How does it work, you compete against your age group to see who can do the most laps in the predetermined time based on the event and age category or group, the commissaire or marshal will sound a bell to indicate the last lap at which point you need to fight for position as the race will end at the completion of that lap after the bell.

When entering for the XCO (Sub-Juniors and older) you are automatically entered for the XCC, participation in the XCC is not compulsory however we strongly recommend that you partake.

This is a new addition, and we are very exited to present this to Limpopo.
