Women's Half
#SheGoesTheDistance — 29 August 2026
Welcome to Women's Half — a race built to celebrate women, encouraging them to lace up, and keep going. This isn't just a start line and a finish line. It's a city full of stories, a community full of courage, and a day where every kilometre is a statement: we belong here, we lead here, we thrive here.
Come run your distance. Bring your people. Make your mark.
Our Mission
To create a world-class women's only race that empowers, connects, and moves our city — one runner at a time.
Women's Half is proudly a women-only race, created as a dedicated space to celebrate, support, and champion women in distance running. We warmly welcome everyone to be part of the day in other meaningful ways — cheer squads, family and friends, volunteers, coaches, photographers, and supporters of all genders are encouraged to join the celebration.
Choose Your Distance
The Half — 21K (The Main Event)
This is what Women's Half is built around. The 21.1km is the ultimate mix of challenge and achievement — long enough to feel iconic, achievable enough to be your next big goal. Whether it's your first half, your comeback race, or a strong run in your marathon build, this is where the day peaks.
The 10K — The Level-Up
The 10km is the sweet spot: more distance, more strategy, more reward. It's the perfect step up from a 5km, and it's also one of the most competitive local distances — fast fields, real racing, and a proper finish-line kick.
The 5K — The Fun, The Fast
The 5km is beginner-friendly, youth-friendly, and vibe-friendly — but it can still be seriously competitive. It's a great first race, a great "run with friends" distance, and a great option for experienced runners who want to go fast.
