The Battle of Platrand Full Moon Walk offers a unique group experience, beginning at Platrand Lodge and guided under the captivating glow of the moon. Along the route, a guest speaker will share intriguing insights into the historic Battle of Platrand, as monuments line the path, making this both an educational and memorable journey. We are thrilled to introduce a 2-day stage run event: PLAT- run. Day 1 includes a challenging 21 km run along with an 11 km shorter route, while Day 2 offers a 10 km option. A variety of packages are available for single-day or both-day participation to suit your schedule.

If you are rather a rider than a runner, come and join us for an exhilarating experience: The Voorlaaier MTB Day 1 presents a scenic 40 km mountain bike ride, while Day 2 invites you to enjoy a fun 20 km course.

We offer special packages for those traveling from afar, featuring amazing accommodations in our lodge rooms, live entertainment, and delicious cuisine served by our on-site restaurant. For those who prefer a taste of local culture, we have the "Local is Lekker" option, allowing access to our facilities with delicious meals available throughout the weekend, including Friday evening, Saturday morning, lunch, and dinner, as well as Sunday morning and lunch.

On Saturday evening, indulge in our vibrant “Wildskos” — a festive celebration showcasing a variety of food stalls, including unique game dishes such as kudu and nyala. Vendors will be on-site offering clothing, gifts, and other exciting items, while live entertainment enhances the lively atmosphere, making it a weekend highlight.

Sunday will culminate in prize-giving ceremony, where exceptional prizes will be awarded to the top three participants in each category.
