Sampies Hoogte 🥾✨

Sampies Hoogte is a beautiful circular hike at the foot of the Outeniqua mountain range. The beacon is a well-known by both bikers and runners of the area and since 1982 it became custom that everyone who come pass, would place a rock at the same spot! The route takes us along a foot path through beautiful foresty areas and a lily dam. 
This is an Easy hike rated 3/10 with uneven terrain en 180m elevation and you have to be able to cover the distance and moderate elevation. This is a 3,5 hour outing.


⏱️ We start at 08:00 from the Trail Kiosk in Arbour Rd.  
⛑️ Please take note of the compulsory Emergency Kit required for all hikes by Venture Butik. (We have a Compact Kit available for all your future hiking excursions - DM me to order).

Required items:
Suitable lightweight hydration pack or backpack
1–2 litres of water (depending on the distance)
Sunscreen
Hat
Shoes with proper grip
Trail snacks / hiking food
Lightweight windproof jacket or fleece
Beanie and gloves (depending on the weather)
A waterproof jacket is also recommended
Tip: It’s always best to dress in layers.

♡ Meeting time: Please arrive at the gathering point around 07:45(Pin drop will be communicated)
