RULES AND GENERAL INFORMATION for RIVERFIELDS FUN RUN 4 JULY 2026

. The Fun Ru will be run in accordance with the rules of ASA and CGA

. Athletes indemnify the national, provincial and regional bodies, sponsors and organizers of the race against any or all actions of whatsoever nature, arising out of their participation in the race

. Registered athletes must wear the current year’s license number at the front and back of their vests and, if issued with a race number, this must be worn on the front of the vest, with both numbers being visible

. Wheelchair athletes will be welcome

. Baby strollers are welcome for both distances

. No roller blades, bicycles or mechanically operated devices will be allowed on the Fun Run Route

. No animals will be allowed to accompany athletes

. No iPods or listening devices will be permitted to be used by athletes

. Minimum ages: 5km 9yrs -  8km – 9yrs

. All traffic officers and officials instructions to be obeyed

. Water points will be available approximately every 3 km

. Your race numbers must not cover the logos on the ASA licence

. Failure to comply will lead to disqualification.

 General Information

. Medical support will be present on race day

. Walkers are welcome for both events

Race pack collection will be available at Harvest Place on 02 July and 03 July from 11h00 – 17h00

. Race T-Shirts available for sale

. Clubs are requested to bring their gazebos and trailers to the venue on 3^rd July between 12H00 and 17h00

. Security will be provided

. Safe and Secure parking available at R20 cost only directed by designated parking marshals

. NO club trailers will be able to get access to the venue on race day

. Please arrive early to avoid congestion. Follow signs and obey instructions from Marshalls along the routes

. Due to the space availability, club gazebos will only be allowed to be erected in the clearly demarcated area a day before the event

. Any club that erects a gazebo outside of the demarcated area will be held liable for any damage they may cause

. No vehicles will be permitted on the field  / Golf driving at any stage

. Only food vendors with COA certificate by Event Organizer are allowed to sell food.

. Alcoholic beverages will be sold .

. No open fire braais will be allowed on the Golf Driving  – There will be food on sale at food stalls

. Every gas cylinder in use  by food vendors must be accompanied by a 4.5kg (or above) fire extinguisher

. NO GLASS BOTTLES, GLASSES, etc. may be brought into the venue due to the nature of garden and facilities around new Maranatha Church parking space and Platto Coffee including the Golf Driving range

. Any party who transgresses and parks on resident’s drive ways  may be fined R1000

. Entry fee as well as additional purchases, are not refundable

. Aerobics entertainment by Teekay Field Fitness

. Supervised kiddies entertainment will be available at a minimal charge (at own risk)

. Please do not discard water sachets/cups in gardens or drains, drop them in the bins provided or directly on the road, help us to keep Riverfields and Glen Marais litter free

. Toilets will be available on route for both 5km and 8km run

. Platto coffee does not provide toilets facilities, we have ample mobile toilets on the venue

. The venue must be evacuated by 14HOO

. We have partnered with BOUTTIME , who will do the electronic timing for us

. You don't need a chip, as it will be included in your race number

. There will be finishing video of every participant as they cross the finish line (“Relive Your Finish feature)

. Instant, detailed SMS results available

. Downloadable finishing certificates for all participants

. Automatic submission of results to Vitality and Multiply

. Race results will be available on www.bouttime

.co.za after the event

. Any T-shirts and  other unclaimed merchandise by the end of the event will be donated to charity
