Bloudam is a popular swim spot in the Blanco area, close to the Witfontein Forest Station.
We'll start our hike at the Witfontein Station, to the Montagu pass. We'll stop for a mid-morning breakfast at the Bloudam. Hikers can also look forward to see where the Power stream flows into the Malgas River and discover a beautiful foresty area further up when we cross the Power stream to return back to the starting area.

? Lightweight windproof jacket
? Fleece/midlayer depending the weather
? Your own emergency items, such as bandage, small petroleum jelly, blister plasters, etc

Fingerless gloves, hiking poles, beanie, buffs, sunglasses.

| Route information | From York Street in George, turn left onto Langenhoven Rd. At the first roundabout, take the first exit onto Langenhoven Rd/N9/N12. Exit the roundabout. At the 2nd roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay onto Langenhoven Rd/N9/N12. After 850m, turn right onto Montagu pass. Turn right after 450m onto the Nature Reserve Road (Witfontein Rd). Follow the road up to the parking area at the top of the road. |
