🌿 Beach to Touws Hike & Row Adventure 🚣‍♀️

Join us for a refreshing outdoor experience combining a scenic hike and a relaxing river paddle in the heart of Wilderness!

🥾 The Hike

We kick off with a 12km circular hike featuring approximately 267m elevation gain, taking around 3–4 hours to complete.

Expect a beautiful, well-maintained trail winding through lush forest and along the river.

🌊 Along the way, we’ll pass Wilderness Beach — a fantastic spot for dolphin and whale sightings if we’re lucky!

🚣 The Row (11:00 – 12:00)

After the hike, we slow things down with a peaceful canoe experience on the Touw River, exploring calm waterways toward the river mouth.

Canoes are equipped with large splash-proof buckets, perfect for keeping your valuables safe — ideal for cameras, snacks, and daypacks.

💰 Cost: R550 per person

We’ll wrap up the morning with a relaxed lunch together at Fairy Knowe Hotel — a perfect way to refuel and connect after the adventure.

Change of clothes (optional for after paddling)

Suitable lightweight hydration pack or backpack
1–2 litres of water (depending on the distance)
Sunscreen
Hat
Shoes for Hiking/Beach/Barefoot
Trail snacks / hiking food
Lightweight windproof jacket or fleece
Beanie and gloves (depending on the weather)
A waterproof jacket is also recommended
Tip: It’s always best to dress in layers.
