The Rooster Trails at EIGHT BELLS MOUNTAIN INN offers six different walking trails on their 400 acre estate which are all colour coded and sign posted.

Farm Dam: 30 minutes (1,3km)   (blue)

Hamlet Hobble: 45 minutes  (1,7km) (green)

River Rumble: 60 minutes (1,9km)        (yellow)

Cedar Climb: 2 hours        (3,9km)               (orange)

Ridge Lookout: 2 hours   (4.0km)                     (Brown+Red)

Protea Hill: half a day at a leisurely pace (4,2km)        (red) 

???‍♀️???(For our outing on the day we will attempt both the Ridge Lookout and the River Rumble. The option will exist also to return to the rest area after you have completed the first loop).

? Suitable lightweight hydration-/backpack/hip pouch 

? Hydration/bottled water

? Sunscreen

? Hat/head gear

? Suitable non-slip shoes

? Snacks

? Lightweight windproof jacket

? Fleece/midlayer depending the weather

? Your own emergency items, such as bandage, small petroleum jelly, blister plasters, etc

Fingerless gloves, hiking poles, beanie, buffs, sunglasses.

♡ Meet at Eight Bells at the foot of the Robinson Pass, on R328 between Mossel Bay (35km) and Oudtshoorn, (50km), Ruiterbos, Mossel Bay.
