Arendsrus is a beautiful farm at the foot of the majestic Outeniqua Mountains boasting a 4-Star Lodge, a Camping site, Restaurant, Wedding venue and a Macadamia plantation. Founded by the Joubert family on the 1st of March 2013, their goal was to create a South-African country style lodge where their guests can experience proper South-African hospitality in a setting to match and enjoy nature without compromise on quality and style. Therefor you will find, in their wooden rooms a rustic elegance feel with things like Egyptian cotton linen, chocolates and sherry as a welcoming drink.

Their wedding venue was opened on the 1st of May 2016. They call it the “ArendsRus Barn Yard”.

In 2020 they decided to make better use of their land and planted 4ha of Macadamia nut trees and another 12ha in 2022.

As they are also avid campers, they decided they need to expand business and thus constructed the campsite which was opened in March of 2021.

In 2021 the Gardenroute camino was opened and ArendsRus is a key point for the route joining the Bo-Langkloof and the Garden-route.

ArendsRus also achieved a great milestone in 2022, awarded 4 stars by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa for their Lodge, Venue & Campsite.

During 2022 they decided to expand their accommodation offering by building their first Luxury Glamping Tent and was completed by 1 December of the same year. 

The Lodge, Wedding venue and Restaurant have received many awards, nominations, accolades and achievements in the past10 years since first opening to the public. Wouldn't it be exciting  to experience the views, ambience and vistas of this beautiful farm nestled in a fynbos setting of true mountainous charm in the Garden Route. 

We also have the privilege to experience true mouthwatering cuisine in a beautiful, comfortable setting. Throughout the week, a thorough A la carte menu offers enough choice to satisfy even the harshest of critics…
