About the SPAR Women’s Challenge Jozi
Welcome to Jozi’s most empowering day on the streets! The Johannesburg leg of the SPAR Women’s Challenge gives women of all ages, shapes, and fitness levels a chance to lace up and take part in either a 5km or 10km run/walk — no pressure, just power!
From first-timers to fierce competitors, this event grows every year with thousands of new participants, turning Emmarentia pink with positivity and purpose. The race moved from Wanderers Stadium to Marks Park Sports Club in 2017 to make space for the ever-growing wave of runners, walkers, and cheering supporters.
As a proud part of the SPAR Grand Prix Series, Jozi plays host to some of South Africa’s top elite female athletes — all competing for points, cash prizes, and serious bragging rights. But at its heart, this race is about women showing up for themselves, their goals, and their community.
So, whether you’re chasing a PB or a post-race smoothie, Jozi is where we show up, glow up, and thrive together!
