Experience one of South Africa's most spectacular mountain passes on foot!

Have you ever dreamed of walking through the breathtaking Meiringspoort without having to worry about traffic? This is your chance!

With the current roadworks taking place in the poort, pedestrians are temporarily allowed to enjoy this incredible route. Once the road repairs are completed, hiking through the poort will once again no longer be permitted. This makes it a rare opportunity that you won't want to miss!

To make the experience even more enjoyable, we schedule these hikes over weekends when the roadworks are paused, allowing us to enjoy the magnificent scenery without the noise of heavy machinery.

🥾 THE HIKE

📍 Starting Point: Pucnic area at Varkenskraal Entrance

🕗 Start Time: 08:00

This is an out-and-back hike through the magnificent Meiringspoort.

⭐ YOU CHOOSE YOUR OWN DISTANCE!

Walk as far as you feel comfortable before turning back.

💦 Feeling adventurous? Hike all the way to the beautiful waterfall (approximately 16 km return), enjoy a refreshing swim, and then head back.

This outing is perfect for families, casual walkers and experienced hikers alike.
