Day 1 - 99km

The start of Day 1 is on top of the Drakensberg at Windmill Farm. (http://windmillfarm.co.za/). After enjoying riding along the top of the escarpment and up 'Baboon route' the cyclists will now plunge down into KwaZulu-Natal via Solly’s Folly and the new Drakensberg Drop. This incredible single track was hand made by Sollie Prinsloo and his team.

After recovering at the bottom, the route then passes through big irrigation and beef farms before cyclists arrive at the historical Easby House. After the last big climb of the day cyclists follow the old Fairview ox wagon trail before the final descent down Everest and along the Garden of Eden.

Day 2 - 60km

This is a day of bushveld and single track. It starts with an early morning climb up Ox Wagon Hill to enjoy the views over the majestic Drakensberg Mountains. The cyclists then follow tracks made by cattle and game farmers in the area.

The challenge then awaits going up Mike’s Pass with the mind blowing descent down Puff Adder Pass. We then cross the big Tugela via a suspended bridge before turning for home. Look forward to re-crossing the river via the JoJo floating bridge before finishing at Em’seni.

Day 3 - 50km

This is the day of the historic climb up Spioenkop Mountain.  The route starts by crossing the Tugela River twice and following a river bed before an steep climb up Lantana Hill and is followed by great single track riding through the ravines of Grootehoek.

Weaving new single track takes you to the base of the mountain before the final steep climb up Spioenkop beginning with the infamous 14 bumps to the top and a 13km adrenaline filled single track descent which takes the rider down the mountain over the Bell Run and home to Emseni.
