BRAT SPLATS

Lets get into the spirit of things! A chance to show your little muscles ... …3,2,1…jump, climb & crawl…mud yay! A mini course designed with fun and adventure in mind so that the small people also get to enjoy the day. Accessible to all spectators and parents.
Age limit: 3 – 8 years
Number of obstacles: approximately 6
Costs: R50 per child

Entries can only be done at the venue on the day. CASH ONLY.
Race time:
Every 10 minutes from 1200 – 13h00
Race Format:
Children enter individually (no teams)
Children can do as many laps as they want! See minimum laps per age group to ‘earn’ a medal.
3– 6 years: Min. 1 lap
7 – 8 years: Min. 2 laps
Parents are welcome to accompany their children along the course.
All children under 5 years MUST be accompanied by an adult.



SLUGGERS
Sluggers is all about fun and camaraderie. A shorter distance with managable obstacles.  You will be crawling, climbing and jumping your way through the course – running is not a necessity! The Sluggers race aims to challenge you and your friends and to get a little dirty without getting into trouble! Although the main focus is on obstacles that are fun, we have thrown in one or two that will challenge you mentally and physically.
Age limit:  9-13 years
Number of obstacles: approximately 10
Number of water points: 1
Cost: R100 per person
Race time: 9: am
Team Format: Teams must consist of 6 members.
Teams may be all girl or all boy teams or mixed teams.
You may skip an obstacle if you cannot/don’t want to do it, BUT there is a 10 burpee penalty!!!
All team members must complete the course at the same time - LEAVE NO MAN BEHIND!


MUD SQUAD
Looking for a way to bond and have a HUGE amount of fun while getting dirty for charity? Well, we have just the solution for you! Enter your family and help them discover the true meaning of working together to achieve something great! Support the cause and teach each other the value of care, compassion and commitment while having a blast outdoors!
Age limit:  9-30 years
Number of obstacles: Approximately 10
Number of water points: 1
Cost: 9-13 years R100 per person, 16+ R200 per person
Race time: This will be communicated to the team leader prior to the event. Approx: 10:00am
Race Format: Teams must consist of 6 members.
Teams must consist of at least 2 adults.1 must be female. In addition there must be at least one child (9 - 13) in the team.
You can choose to skip an obstacle if you cannot/don’t want to do it, BUT there is a 10 burpee penalty per obstacle missed.
All team members must complete the course at the same time - LEAVE NO MAN BEHIND!

 

DELTA DIRT
DELTA DIRT .... for those seeking a greater challenge and who want to test themselves a little more in terms of endurance, strength and agility. Delta Dirt places a bit more stress on endurance and perserverance. Teams can still go out and enjoy this challenge, helping each other through the obstacles. A great opportunity for team building.
Age limit: 14+ years
Number of obstacles: Approximately 21
Number of water points: 3
Cost: R200 per person.
Race time: 9:00 am
Race Format: Teams must consist of 6 members.
Teams must have a minimum of 1 female.
Teams must complete all obstacles!!! There is a 20 burpee penalty per person per obstacle for non-completion.
All team members must complete the course at the same time - LEAVE NO MAN BEHIND!


Rules and regulations
1. Please note there are different categories, each category with different entry price, time, obstacles and rules. Make sure you read your preferred category carefully.
2. Each team should have a team leader. Only the designated team leader will receive further communication of the event. It is the team leader’s responsibility to communicate said information on to fellow team members.
3. All teams must have a WAR CRY.
4. Teams are encouraged to DRESS UP. The crazier the better!
5. No participant may practice the route or any obstacles before the start of the race.
6. All team members must complete all obstacles as per chosen category.
7. All team members must cross the finish line together.
8. ALL TEAMS must have a TEAM LEADER and a contact number for communication purposes. SLUGGERS must have a designated adult (18+) present on the day and appointed as TEAM LEADER but may not participate with the team..
9. If a participant cannot or wishes not to attempt an obstacle he/she will have to do burpee as required by the obstacles rules.
10. Delta athletes will have to complete all obstacles. No assistance from spectators or marshals will be permitted. NO MERCY!!
11. No cooler boxes or cooler bags will be allowed into the venue. There will be plenty of food and drinks for sale. Please bring cash and support the local vendors.
12. No alcohol, drinks, food, drugs, fire arms or any dangerous weapons will be allowed into the venue.
13. Unfortunately no pets will be allowed.
14. Seating is limited, so please bring along your own camping chair.
15. Lucky draw fun prizes for all categories however, there will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd position prizes for Delta teams.
16. The DIRT DASH is a Tzaneen Care Group initiative and all proceeds go towards achieving the Tzaneen Care Group vison and mission in terms of care, assistance and support. It is NOT a timed race.
17. Entries are limited as the course can only accommodate a maximum of 63 teams of 6.
18. Entries are only final once proof of payment and the indemnity on behalf of all team members is signed.
19. Event starts at 08:00 am. Official race starts at 09:00 am. Each team’s starting time will be communicated to the team leader prior to the event. The programme is subject to change without prior notice
20. WHAT TO BRING
x   Spare set of clothes and shoes.
  x           Bin Bags for dirty clothes.
  x   There are shower facilities if you wish to shower after the race. Bring along towels and toiletries.
21. A “Drop and Go” system will be in operation at the entrance of Magoebaskloof Adventures. Parking will be located nearby, and a shuttle is available to transport people form a nearby parking area to the start of the race. We will appreciate your co-operation in adhering to these rules as they are in the interest of your safety.
