93km (NEW ROUTE)
The new addition to the Daisy may look more challenging than it really is. Wide open gravel roads makes up the majority of the route, but there is still more than enough mountain biking spirit present. With a total ascent of just over a 1000m, this route is certainly do-able by your average Joe or weekend warrior, but will still pose a challenge to more advanced riders looking to finish this route under 4 hours. Riders can look forward to a piece of track that is only available for the Daisy, and will be pleasantly surprised. The distance makes up for the fact that there is no technical rocks and climbs is present on this route.
44km (NEW ROUTE)
Also new this year, the 44km route is a hybrid between the previous 36km en 63km routes. Adding some distance to the half marathon in place of the removed technical aspects makes this route easier for the majority. The technical sections of the 63km has also been removed, resulting in a shorter, but very enjoyable route. Jeep track is the main feature of this route. Although 80% of the total ascent is in the first 16km, riders will be treated to the most beautiful views over the Vredendal valley that is on offer when they reach the highest point. Hereafter it is mostly flat and slightly downwards, giving riders a nice breather to enjoy the surroundings.
27km (EASY with 370 total climb)
The 27km route is mainly jeep track. The route does not include all the technical climbs and singletrack of the 36km route but riders will still be rewarded with stunning views of the valley and surroundings.
15km (NEW ROUTE)
This route consists of the previous 10km fun route with an added loop through the veld to give riders more time to see flowers and inhale that fresh “platteland” air. But it will also challenge that up and coming youngster, who looks for something more than just a fun ride.. This route is ideal for all ages irrespective of skill level, and riders may complete this route as many times as they like before cut off.
