Freshpak Fitness Festival
The annual Freshpak Fitness Festival, the Western Cape’s largest multi-sport festival, is set to attract all novice and professional athletes, family, friends and travellers in Clanwilliam.
Athletes can take part in the various sporting events, including open water swims, a duathlon, biathlon and triathlon while family, friends and visitors enjoy the festive atmosphere. There are also kiddies races for young fitness enthusiasts.
Every year, this longstanding event sees over 1000 passionate fitness and health enthusiasts competing in various swimming, cycling and running challenges. Situated between the rugged Cederberg Mountains and the popular Clanwilliam Dam, the event is ideal for a scenic outdoor getaway where visitors can look forward to a great sporting and festive atmosphere in the heart of Rooibos country.
A percentage of the proceeds raised from entry fees are donated to CANSA. Rooibos, which is grown only in the Cederberg, has anti-oxidant properties that fight cancer effectively and form part of a healthy lifestyle.
