Day 1 will take runners on the amazing Elangeni hiking trail starting at the Protea Malaga runners will run along the gravel road to the start of the Elangeni hiking trail, thereafter you ascend for the mountain for approximately 5km and 700m elevation. After the initial climb you will run along the escarpment on mostly runnable paths of course there will be a few surprises of roads less travelled The view here is absolutely worth your initial effort. You will then reach stunning rock pools at the waterfall. You will then have a short climb and descend into a stunning pine forest and past the famous Elangeni falls. The short route will also start at the Protea Malaga and run along the gravel road before a sharp incline to the elangeni falls and then they will follow bait of bundu bashing to the finish line. Day 2 will be run on the farm opposite the Protea Malaga, this is the most technical day and runners should be prepared for a lot of challenging fun. You will climb to the top of the escarpment and thesis approximately 1500m in elevation and reaching heights of 2000m above sea level. The terrain is rocky and challenging but absolutely stunning. the short runners will also have some technical climbs and bundu bashing. The single day runners will do the same route as the stage runners on day 2. Please note Prize money will be for the Long stage race and the Short stage race. The winners of the combined distance and single day races will receive product prizes. Also note that race rules will be enforced and equipment checks will be done
