The ever popular Battle Up Blaawberg Hill Trail Challenge is back for its sixth year!

The West Coast Athletic Club in partnership with the Friends of Blaauwberg Conservation Area and The City of Cape Town are organising the Battle Up Blaauwberg Hill Trail Challenge event on Sunday 4th September 2016.

Blaauwberg Conservation Area (BCA) is one of over 30 natural areas managed by the City of Cape Town. The BCA was proclaimed a Local and Provincial Nature Reserve in 2007.

The reserve has a spectacular view, down Fynbos slopes, across the city to 7km of rocky, sandy coastline, the ocean and beyond – it’s the only viewpoint in the world from which you can see two proclaimed world heritage sites (Table Mountain and Robben Island).

Route information	Directions from Cape Town From the N1 take the N7 heading north towards Malmesbury. Just past the weighbridge on the N7, turn left towards Morningstar. Continue down this road until you see the entrance to Morningstar and turn left into Zonnekus Road Once on Zonnekus Road continue on down the gravel road. Please adhere to the speed limit of 30km/h Right at the end of the gravel road you will find a green palisade gate. We will have our staff man this gate on the day of the event. Once through the gate turn right and follow the gravel track over the railway line down to the boom gate at Blaauwberg Hill. Parking is on the right up to the start point.
