Doorndraai
A combination of jeep track and single track through indigenous Waterberg bush veld which is well stocked with game. The climb will provide a meaningful challenge to all levels of riders and follows some 10km of flat riding that is often characterized with sandy sections to keep the legs warm. The race is well organized and attracts increased numbers of riders every year. Rocky descents will test your handling skills. The 30km is more for the experience rider, it’s a good challenge if you are fit. The exclusivity of the ride gives it a warm and friendly feel which is familiar in the Doorndraailodge atmosphere.
Doorndraai Lodge is a 4 Star bushveld Lodge offering a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere in an unspoiled bushveld environment.
It offers comfortable luxury accommodation with modern conveniences necessary for an ideal breakaway.
Located in the Bela Bela(Warmbaths)/ Thabazimbi area, 6 kilometers from Rooiberg in the Limpopo Province and approximately 2 hours drive from Pretoria.
Doorndraai covers 1600 hectares of bushveld and comprises of a low lying as well as a mountainous area. The lodges are situated on the high lying area with a panoramic view of the bushveld and the Waterberge.
Doorndraai is accessible without a 4x4 vehicle by means of a dirt road.
