This year, the “Kliptrap” MTB will form part of the Paradise festival held in the town of Rooiberg.  The race will have three routes, all with the same start and end point at the centre of the festival grounds in town.  The 24km route has no major climbs and is intended for the novice riders in the family.  Children are welcome to join in this fun event.  Some pushing may result due to thick sand in some of the lower areas.  The 35km route is a great workout for the more serious riders with rocky, technical descents.  The route is characterised by beautiful single track, stream crossing and one significant climb on jeep track.  The climb is 2000m long and will elevate the rider approximately 200 vertical metres.  The 42km route should not be underestimated and shares the main climb of the 35km where-after the bottom of a steep decent will introduce the rider to one of the toughest climbs in the vicinity up a stunning gorge on the southern boundary of the Doorndraai Lodge property.  The climb reaches 19% in places and climbs almost 400m in less than 4km.  Only the very best will stay in the saddle up this lady.
