Entries for the virtual race open on Thursday 27 August 2020, close date Sunday, 4 October 2020.
Date & Time of Race
Participants have the option to complete the distance entered for between 28 September 2020 and 4 October 2020.
Please note:
- The 50KM and 100KM distances can be split and run over the 7-day period (28 September 2020 and 4 October 2020).
- The 30KM / 20KM / 10KM and 5KM distances must be completed within one day (on your chosen date between 28 September 2020 and 4 October 2020)

Route & Distance
Your route, Your Choice! Find the course of your choice and run your selected route. This could be on a public road, trail route or treadmill,

The following are the different race distance options:
5KM – must be run within 1 day/same day
10KM – must be run within 1 day/same day
20KM – must be run within 1 day/same day
30KM – must be run within 1 day/same day
50KM – can be split and run over 1 to 7 days
100KM - can be split and run over 1 to 7 days
Please ensure you supply yourself with enough nutrition, water, and energy drinks for your chosen route.
Race Numbers
Race Numbers will be emailed to every entrant once the registration process has been completed. Participants can choose to print out their Race Number and attach it to their running kit for Race Day. We encourage participants to take images and videos wearing their race numbers and share across social media platforms with the hashtag #ZoneChallenge2020
Running in Groups
Should participants run in groups, please ensure all social distancing and any other restrictions set by national or local governments are adhered to, to ensure the prevention of COVID-19 spreading.

Participants are required to make use of their smart phone, smart watch, fitness watch or activity tracker as a personal “virtual timing chip”. Start the session and run your selected distance. Once completed, link your session detail to your online runner profile.
Should you not have a fitness device, please contact the race office on 076 702 8056 for detail on “special” verification options.
Your time will be updated to the official results service for the distance you participate in. All results will also be published on the Run Zone website.
Finishers Medal & Commemorative Buff
All participants who complete the virtual race will receive a finishers medal and buff.
Post-Race Delivery or Collection
To have your Medal and Race Buff delivered to your door, please edit your entry and select to have your merchandise couriered (at an additional cost).
Alternatively, participants have the option to collect their Medal and Race Buff from any of the Post Race Venues, at the stipulated times below. You will be given the option to select your Post Race Venue closer to race day.
