Universiteitsoord is super excited to host our first-ever Road Trip Run on Saturday 3 October 2020
- a virtual race for young and old right where you are!
You can choose to walk or run 5km, 10km, or 21km on your own or with some friends and family (staying within Covid-19 regulations of course).
You may register as part of your residence, for an open team, or as individual. Everyone is welcome! There are great prizes to be won for all distances, as well as some lucky draw prizes.
Residence teams will compete for the overall trophy (most participants and the longest distance covered), open teams compete in their own category (most participants and the longest distance covered), with different prizes for individual participants.
The registration fee (R56 per student/adult and R36 for kids still at school or younger)

Jy kan kies tussen 'n 5km, 10km of 21km wedloop wat jy kan draf of stap, op jou eie of saam met 'n groep (binne die Covid-19 regulasies natuurlik).
Skryf in as deel van jou koshuis, in 'n ope-span of net op jou eie.
Almal is welkom en daar is baie lekker pryse om te wen vir die wenners van elke afstand, as ook gelukkige-trekking pryse.
Koshuisspanne ding mee vir die algehele prys (meeste deelnemers en verste afstand afgelê), ope spanne ding mee in hulle eie kategorie (meeste deelnemers en verste afstand afgelê) en individue kan ook pryse wen.

| Route information | A virtual race is a race that can be run, walked or cycled from any location you choose. You get to complete your own race, at your own pace, within the time frame as stipulated by your particular event. There are no parking problems, no crowds and no long Porta Potty lines. There is no start gun or nervous, pre-race chitchat with other athletes. There's not even an official starting line! That's the kind of flexibility offered by virtual races, a new trend in the running and cycling community. Athletes who sign up for a virtual race register online and simply choose their route of choice. Once you are finished times can be uploaded via various timing apps as provided by your event organiser. Details of the timing app and how it works will be mailed to all participants closer to race day. |
