The town of Wellington is only a 45-minute scenic drive from Cape Town and is well known for its beautiful Cape Dutch homesteads, picturesque environment, gardens and wineries. If you missed out on the Franschhoek edition of Pursuit Challenge, this will be the perfect follow up race to take part in with the family or friends.
Doolhof Wine Estate lies between Bain’s Kloof and the Groenberg Mountain Range, a perfect backdrop for the most scenic event.
Pursuit Challenge is a series of timed challenges throughout the world, we set a date for each course that challengers can take part in. Each challenger decides their own starting time, pace and strategy. A leaderboard is hosted on our website with prize money and prizes up for grabs in each winner’s nominated category.

More detail about the route:
Riders can expect great flowing single-track along with gritty climbs and heart-thumping downhills. The Wellington Nestled on the slopes of the Groenberg mountain near Wellington, the trails are mainly on single-track, winding through orchards, vineyards, pristine fynbos and past stunning waterfalls. The trails will take you up high onto the Groenberg, before descending back down to the Krom River. You’ll have options between challenging and very steep sections or their (equally) challenging chicken runs.
GPS files are available for download to all participants the week of the event.
