Waterra outdoor events
Virginia Trails is a beautiful venue situated in the Eston Valley that will offer 5-7km, 10-12km and 18-20km trails to provide the opportunity for social runners to challenge their friends, family and the more competitive runners in all age categories to compete with their peers and earn points to be crowned the series winner in their distance and age group. We are now offering a fun 20km and 10km MTB category for those that want to enjoy the amazing cycling routes that Virginia Trails offers.
A Terra Firma trail run series leader board will be available online with a Prize giving ceremony for the series winners for each age category at the final event. (for info on age categories and series rules please visit our www.waterra.co.za web page)
MTB Route options:
MTB 10km fun ride.
Route Description: A fun 10-12km route suitable for everyone who wants to enjoy the breathtaking scenery with some jeep track and flowing single track.
Age: 8 years and older
Cup-less Water tables: 2
Cost: R 150
MTB 20km fun ride
Route Description: A fun 20km route suitable for the fitter cyclist who wants to enjoy the breathtaking scenery, jeep track with some technical and flowing single track.
Age: 12 years and older
Cup-less Water tables: 3
Cost: R 180
Trail Run Route options:
Family Fiver 5-7km: (To be eligible and earn points for the series prize in this distance you need to be 13 years or younger)
Route Description: A fun 5-7 km route suitable for everyone including walkers and families.
Age: 8 years and older
Cup-less Water tables: 1
Cost: R 110
Hero in Training 10-12km: (To be eligible and earn points for the series prize in this distance you need to be between 14 and 18 years old)
Route Description: A demanding 10-12 km route for those looking for a bit more of a challenge!
Age: 8 years and older
Cup-less Water tables: 2
Cost-R 150
Heroes for a Day 18- 20 km: (To be eligible and earn points for the series prize in this distance you need to be 19 years and older)
Route Description: An 18-20 km route with extremely tough terrain. Fitness is essential for this race!
Age: 18 years and older

Need to know:
- Entries are limited to 250 participants in total
- All events are eco-friendly and Cupless, please provide your own cup/hydration system for water tables
- All routes are clearly marked with marshals en-route
- All Covid protocols are strictly adhered to with the safety of all participants being our number one priority
- Should any event be cancelled participants will have the option to move their entry to a later event or receive a refund (less Entry Ninja Admin fee)
