ABOUT THE #RUN 4 RHINO CHALLENGE
Run for a worthwhile cause on HERITAGE DAY (21km,10km, 5km). All funds raised from the sale of the tickets as well as the merchandise purchased virtually or at the organised event, will be donated to Rhino Revolution (http://www.rhinorevolution.org) to support their initiatives to prevent poaching, rehabilitate orphaned rhinos, increase the black rhino population and support their local communities.
You can join virtually and choose your own route wherever you are in SA or beyond. Choose 21km,10km or 5km. Purchase a T-shirt or cap or both to boost your support for the cause and post a pictures of your run on social media. #Run4Rhinos on instagram.
This is a great way to start your HERITAGE DAY and contribute to the conservation of wildlife in South African.
DATE AND TIME OF CHALLENGE
The challenge will take place on Friday 24th September 2021 from any time between 00:01am and 23:59pm on the actual challenge date, within your local time zone.
Please respect the current COVID-19 restrictions/regulations as set by your local government and participate within those constraints.
ROUTE & DISTANCE
Anywhere! Find the course of your choice and participate on your favourite route. Whether it be on your property, a treadmill or on public roads.
The following are the different challenge distance options:

- 10km (Virtual)
- 5km (Virtual)
Plan your run wisely! Bring sufficient nutrition, water and energy drinks with you and plan to cover your nutrition needs on the challenge day.

CHALLENGE T-SHIRT & Cap Rhino Revolution T-Shirts (R250.00) and caps (R150.00) will be available for purchase (while stocks last on a 1st come 1st serve basis). *Postage fees for virtual deliveries are excluded from the cost.
RUNNING IN GROUPS Can I run with family and friends? Yes, you can! But please respect social distancing and any other restrictions set by national or local governments/authorities due to the prevention of coronavirus spread. Participants are encouraged to take images and videos wearing their Challenge kit and post these on social media with their messages in support of #Run4Rhinos
CHALLENGE TIMING Your smart phone, smart watch, fitness watch or activity tracker is your personal “virtual timing chip”. Start the session and participate in your selected distance. When you reach the challenge distance you have entered stop the session and simply, link your Strava, Garmin, Polar or Suunto account to your profile. General Awards All participants who finish their respective distance before the cut-off date/time will receive a online certificate that you will be able to share with family and friends.
