With a 400m and an 800m. Cape Town has a growing community of swimmers, ‘submergers’, ocean polar bears etc. This is the perfect event to put your swimming skills to the test in the freshest water in Africa.

You can decide to wear a wetsuit or not, we have timed categories for both options. Professional Lifeguards monitor your progress around the course. This may sound dof, but, it is a requirement that you know how to swim in Open Water!

The start finish zone is located at the ‘Old Bells Lodge’ on the edge of the Berg River Dam

ENTER THE EASTER SWIMRUN HERE

A full circumnavigation of The Berg Dam is around 15kms. With natural estuaries to cross, and loads of single track,

This is the perfect event for your first Swim-Run, and is perfect training for the well-known  Torpedo Swim Run (link) a week later.

The route is in process, and will involve 4 runs (12 – 15km total) and 4 swims (3km total).

This is a pairs race, with Categories for Open Male, Open Female and Mixed. Current water temp means No wetsuits required, and this is likely to be optional in April.

The trails can be rough and rocky.

Why mess around with a single sport, when you can do all 3. Run the 15km Trail Run, Complete the Swim – Run, Swim the Mile !!! The times of the events are synched for this, but, you will need to be fit!!
