XCOSA EVENTS XCS (STAGE EVENT) “RULES OF ENGAGEMENT”

Based on the popularity of our XCO (Olympic format) and XCM (Marathon) Time Trial events, XCOSA Events now also present XCS (Stage) events. Our XCM and XCS events uniquely often take place on a 20-30 km lap track! Our XCS events take place over multiple consecutive days, consisting of a Prologue and various Stages, combined into a single event. Participation in the XCOSA XCS is regulated according to the UCI/CSA XCM regulations. Our 3-day XCOSA XCS race features as follows:

• Prologue: 20 km
• Stage 1: 1 x  60 km lap
• Stage 2: 3 x 20 km laps

Each of the Prologue and Stages must respectively be completed within a predetermined time. Finishing outside this cut-off time for the Prologue and Stages, whatever the reasons, will result in the rider being disqualified from officially completing the event.

The provisional program for the 3 days of the event is as follows – the final program together with more detail on the event will be forwarded to all prospective participants by email on Th, 12 Oct 23:

 Overall event results will be determined by the riders finishing the Prologue and all Stages within the cut-off time, and in the shortest time, as determined by the GC.
