DURBAN ULTRA TRAINING CAMP
The Durban ULTRA Triathlon along with Glen Gore, Camp Co-Ordinator are proud to present the Durban Ultra Triathlon Training Camp. The Camp will take place in Durban on the 9th and 10th July. An ideal time of the year to get in a mini winter “summer” training camp down in the warm climate that is KZN
The camps will span 2 days and cater for ALL levels. Advanced, Intermediate and Beginner. The groups will be structured for guys and girls racing for podium spots, those that want to improve on their PB’s and those that just want to finish first time, will all be looked after during the camp.
The Training Camp will cover race routes, nutrition by 32Gi, race venue, what to do and what not to do for the Sprint, Ultra and 153 Durban Ultra triathlon races.
DAY 1 SATURDAY: Approx 6am – 2pm.
Bike ride on the Race Route followed by a run off the bike (over the race course)
An open water swim will be done Mid-Morning or afternoon based on sea conditions at the time
Short talk on race day tips – race day nutrition and race day equipment will conclude Day 1
Exact start times to be finalised on the Friday evening.
DAY 2 SUNDAY: Approx 6am to 11am.
A short ride followed by short run as a warmup
A Mini Sprint “race” will then take place with camp attendees’ swimming the 600m sprint swim course – biking over some of the race-course and then finishing off the run on the promenade next to Suncoast Casino
Start Times to be finalised on the morning
Camp will conclude by 11am
The Camp will cost R950.00 and that will include and awesome good bag amongst and race stuff from our sponsors!
