We would like to invite any active and adventurous person to come and experience the beauty of our family farm based just outside the small town of Amsterdam (yes you read that right) in the Highveld of Mpumalanga, South Africa. 

Our routes run across flowy hill and spring clean rivers that provides a home to all our farm animals. If you are looking for a challenging 21km, a lekker 10km or just a fun 5km hike / fun run then our trail run is just for you.

Routes:

5km Hike / Fun run

Our 5km hike / fun run is exactly what it says. All members of a family can come and enjoy the beautiful scenery of our farm and enjoy the open air. The route will start and finish at Glen Vleis, with 129m of vertical climbing, lots of jeep track and some single track, the route is just challenging enough to get all the muscles working. There will be one waterpoint on the route, so no need to bring your own water and snacks. The route is rocky, so strollers are unfortunately not welcome.

10km Trail Run

Our 10km route is aimed at any runner looking to have a great time. The route will start and finish at Glen Vleis, with 280m of vertical climbing, lots of jeep track, and spectacular views of our farm. It is going to be one of the most beautiful routes that you’ve done. There will be two water points on the route, so no need to bring your own water and snacks. 

21km Trail Run

Our 21km route is aimed at the avid trail runner and will be a nice challenge to all runners. The route will start and finish at Glen Vleis, with 562m of vertical climbing, lots of jeep track, some single track, water crossings and breath-taking views of our farm. It is going to be a route you won’t forget any time soon. There will be four waterpoints on the route, so no need to bring your own water and snacks.

Before the race:

Registration as well as on day entries will be on Saturday the 1^st of October 2022 from 06:00 – 07:00 at Glen Vleis.

After the race:

All runners will receive a Glen Aggy Trail Run medal after completion of your race.

Prize giving will be at 12:00.

Glen Vleis will be open for all your meat and coffee needs, and a few additional food stalls will be available for small meals.
